However, you also have to have several boosts (Great Buildings, Event Buildings, Attack Boosts, Settlement Buildings, Tavern Shop, etc.) for this to be successful. But for now, using attached troops first is cheaper and it allows me to build up my unattached troops quicker. I know this will change when I advance in Ages. I win enough troops in rewards through GBG and GE, so I don't need any other bases other than a Rogue base. They are real cheap (free) to produce, even at the base, though they do take 24 hours (minus the Guild accelerator). There are several differing opinions on this. This allows you to accumulate several unattached troops (if you do it correctly) while still being able to fight. This would also apply to (and especially if) not having a Traz.
